Here at Fresh Dental we are known for our exceptional customer service, great work team and outstanding dentistry.
But what goes on behind the scenes which many people will not come across is that to achieve the respected status in the dentistry field as we have for the last years is not just mere luck, but pure hard work and research.
We are motivated only to be the best which we have proved again and again including Dr Monik Vasant becoming the Best Young Dentist in the North West at the 2010 Dentistry Awards and our dedicated team spend thousands of pounds researching and educating themselves to master the best techniques and skills needed to be the best in the field of Dentistry.
Our Staff are all trained to the latest and updated guidelines set by the General Dental Council (GDC) but have also been trained in giving the best customer service experience possible to every patient that enters our practice.
Our practice has recently spent tens of thousands of pounds to be updated with GDC and CQC guidelines which has involved building an extension and revamping our sterilisation room to a state of the art standard which is only in the best interest of our patients well being and using the latest and trusted materials and equipment used by the leading dental professionals from around the world.
We have also built a new modern waiting room, 2 new offices and installed the latest digital x-ray processing equipment to meet the needs of our ever growing patient list and to provide the best quality of treatment and diagnostic equipment for our patients.
We are changing the lives of patients constantly from severe problems that have affected their daily lives and social lives for years to educating them regarding oral health hygiene which will change the way a future generation will be taking care of themselves.
Fresh Dental, leading the way only for you.
Many parents are feeding their children snacks and drinks assuming they are making the best choice just by reading the word “NO ADDED SUGAR” printed on the labels.
They instantly think this is a positive and beneficial option where in some cases it is but this does not mean there is no sugar at all.
The parents get confused with “no sugar” or “sugar free” which is totally not the case as products with these printed on the label don’t have any sugar in at all but may replace it with sweeteners which is not harmful to your health or your teeth.
Drinks and foods that state this mean they just haven’t added extra sugar to their sugar containing products.
Simple as that.
Children should be given milk or water to ensure they teeth remain safe from acid attacks throughout the day.
Not only is it good for their teeth but choosing the milk and water option will benefit your child with good strong bones and a healthier lifestyle so you cant go wrong.

People and dentists often look past on the important role a receptionist plays in a dental practice.
The receptionist is the first person our patients meet first when they enter our practice.
The receptionist need to have a friendly and positive attitude which reflects on the mood of the practice from a patients point of view when entering and communicating with our staff.
That is the why we train our staff and receptionists on how to meet customer service goals daily and how we can improve the patients visit to our practice each step of the way from answering the phone to arrange appointments to saying goodbye to a patient when they are leaving the practice with a smile.
We hope you enjoy your next visit to us and can notice if you are treated with smiling staff all the way and please dont be shy to leave any comments or tips for us to improve our service further.
Many people have heard from their friends or family members about ‘the hygienist’.
They also probably told you of how they felt afterwards after they visited the hygienist.
We at Fresh Dental have our own full time dental hygienist therapist which most dental practices don’t have because we see how a hygienist can benefit the oral health of our patients by promoting good oral hygiene where the patient will be given the correct advice on how to brush their teeth and take care of their gums.
The hygienist will also clean your gums removing the hard plaque on your teeth and cleaning under your gums to remove all the bacteria which can cause your gums to bleed whilst brushing or even eating e.g. apples!
Once a patient has visited the hygienist they feel they can have a fresh start with their teeth and gums as they have been given a deep clean that a toothbrush can’t achieve and they have been given the knowledge of how to prevent further plaque and decay attacking teeth and gums.
Many of our patients see the hygienist every 3 months just to keep on top of their gum health to prevent gums receding and to maintain a healthy mouth.
Why don’t you book an appointment today to experience the deep clean that your toothbrush can’t give you and save you money from preventing problems from occuring in the future.

We understand and sympathise what our nervous patients must feel when they are attending for their appointments.
Most people fear the dentists due to previous experiences at the dentists from childhood or they get worked up by the scary tales to by family members and friends when they visited the dentist.
People tend to remember negative experiences more then positive experiences and this plays a major part in the stories and tales that travel around as they are most likely to be 90% negatives stories.
So we have thought of methods from our own research and experiences with nervous patients to help you to relax at your next appointment.
1. Bring a mp3 player with you. Some patients are terrified of the noise of the drill which makes them anxious so listening to an mp3 player will block out the drilling noise leaving your mind in the musical world of ABBA!!
2. Talk to your dentist. By talking to your dentist before treatment will allow you to feel comfortable with the dentist. You can tell your dentist face to face exactly what you fear and they will reinsure you and meet your needs. All staff at Fresh Dental are chilled out so they wont mind having a chat with you about almost anything! Dentists are like me and you.
3. Technology. The technology and methods have advanced so fast over the recent years which has made treatments much safer and easier for dentists and patients. Maybe your childhood dentist was cruel and old fashioned but those are the old days which have gone. Research into dentistry is happening as we speak. Fresh Dental staff are always at all the dental conferences and exibitions (Manchester Confernece last week) to learn the latest techniques which is why we are one of the most advanced practices in the North West!
4. Breathing. Try doing breathing exercises before coming into the practice to bring your heart rate down and to relax you. Taking in breaths through your nose slowly and exhaling out of your mouth slowly will help you relax.
5. Therapy. Visit a hypnotherapy specialist who can help to remove your fear of the dentist out of your mind and this is a proven method which we have seen with few of our patients.
6. Remember you can always tell the dentist to stop whenever you like before or during a treatment. So you are in total control!
Hope you enjoy trying these methods and seeing for yourself their success or when your in next time just have a chat with any memeber of our staff who are more then happy to discuss relaxtation techniques.
There is no single cause of oral cancer but some factors increase the risk of developing it.
Here are some major factors that can increase the risk;
smoking or chewing tobacco or using snuff, especially if you also drink alcohol heavily
drinking a lot of alcohol, especially if you also smoke or chew tobacco or use snuff
chewing betel nut
sun exposure to the lips
Infection of the oral cavity with the human papillomavirus (HPV) may also be a risk factor for oral cancer.
Some people develop oral cancer without any of these risk factors
We take oral cancer diagnosis very seriously and Fresh Dental dentists and nurses will always try and give you advice on where you can get help from to aid your journey to quit smoking or chewing tobacco as we have seen how oral cancer can affect you and your families lives in a negative way.
