Dr. Monik Vasant BChD Leeds 2003 - Principal Dentist And Senior Partner

Dr. Vasant is our principal dentist and senior partner. He was born and raised in Bolton and attended Bolton School, where he regularly goes back to give talks to current students about dentistry. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 2003. Since then he has completed a 2 year long postgraduate course in advanced restorative dentistry from the prestigious St Anne's Dental Clinic and has also completed a 1 year postgraduate course in advanced restorative dentistry, aesthetic dentistry and dental implantology.
Dr. Vasant's vision was to open a modern, state of the art dental practice where he could offer a full range of treatments in a relaxing and tranquil environment. He was able to achieve this with Freshdental where he offers a variety of treatments with the highest level of patient care.
He has a keen interest in cosmetic and advanced dentistry and he is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Vasant recognises the importance of overall facial aesthetics and has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign (invisible braces), 6 months smile,(cosmetic braces), botox and teeth whitening. He is currently one of two dentists in the North West qualified to assess and fit the OSO athletic enhancer which is proven to improve athletic performance, and has recently undertaken specialist training in Switzerland to become currently the only dentist in the UK who can provide Compeneers as a treatment option.
Dr Vasant has been voted the North West 'Best Young Dentist' in 2010, and was short listed for this honour in 2009 – where he was highly commended and 2011. He also holds the accolade of being voted the 17th most influential person in Dentistry out of a poll of 50.
He is a keen advocate for dental care and has appeared on various television programmes such as GMTV, the BBC One Show, ITN News as well as BBC radio GMR. His passion for dentistry and oral health care has also taken him as far a field as Tanzania – where he helped to set up a mobile dental unit, to deliver much needed dental care to the local community.
Dr. Vasant is a lecturer and mentor for Tipton Training in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. These courses teach qualified dentists of various ages to practice to a higher standard and focus upon theory, knowledge and practice skills in order to achieve this.
Dr Vasant is currently undertaking a MSc in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and was called upon to be a guest author in a book for charity called 'Masters in Practice', which was compiled by some of the most notable people within the dental profession. In addition to this Dr Vasant regularly welcomes various other dentists into practice who wish to shadow him and gain experience by seeing how he works.
Ash Rayarel BDS Manc 1989 & MFGDP(UK) 1998 - Dentist and Partner

Ash Rayarel one of the two partners of Freshdental. He has had his own practice for over fifteen years and uses this experience to maintain the smooth running of Freshdental.
Ash graduated from Manchester University in 1989 and gained the Royal College of Surgeon’s Diploma (MFGDP UK) in 1998. He has been an approved trainer for new graduates since 1996. He also teaches students at Manchester Dental Hospital.
His hobbies include football and cricket (wicket keeper for a local team).
Dr Yusuf Ali BDS Ncle 2007 - Associate Dentist

Dr Yusuf Ali is another former pupil of Bolton school . Yusuf graduated from the University of Newcastle and went on to work in private practice in the south of england. He recently decided to come back to his home town to join the Freshdental team. Yusuf has an interest in general dentistry and is a firm believer in the importance of the prevention of dental disease. He regularly attends post graduate lectures to further his knowledge and in his spare time is a huge Manchester United fan.
Dr Clare Barker BDS Brist 2007 - Associate Dentist

Dr Clare Barker graduated from Bristol University in 2007 to be certified with a Bachelors degree in Dental surgery. She completed her vocational training in Yeovil, Somerset. Following this she has worked for 3 years as an associate Dentist on the Wirral before commencing work at Fresh Dental in April 2011 to be closer to her home town of Blackburn.
She recently completed the Royal College of Surgeons Diploma (MJDF RCS Eng). She enjoys all aspects of Dentistry and is keen on attending courses and conferences to further her knowledge in order to help provide the best possible care to her patients.
In her spare time, Clare enjoys dancing (jive and salsa), cooking, painting and is also a keen Blackburn Rovers supporter.
Dr Luke Mather BDS Sheff 2010 - Associate Dentist

Luke graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2010 and stayed in Sheffield to complete his vocational training. After 6 years in the Steel City he decided it was time to move back to the Northwest and joined the Freshdental team in 2011.
Luke enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is keen to continue learning and developing his skills to provide the best for his patients.
In his spare time Luke enjoys socialising, seeing live bands and travelling around Europe.
Dr Nick Tomkin
Dr Nick Tomkin graduated from The University of Sheffield in 2010 and completed his foundation training in 2011.
He then joined the Fresh Dental team in August 2011 and has quickly become a key member of the team who is always eager to learn the cosmetic side of dentistry from Dr Vasant.
In his spare time Dr Tomkin enjoys watching live band's performing in Manchester with his girlfriend, socialising with friends and is a keen sport enthusiast.
Vicky - Senior Nurse

Vicky is our new senior nurse, she recently joined the team at Freshdental and was previously a dental nurse tutor and assessor in the north west area. She was actually responsible for the training of our nurses at Freshdental. Vicky has been a dental nurse for 14 years and has a post qualification in oral health promotion and education. In addition to this Vicky also has a degree in philosophy.
In her spare time Vicki can be found watching Wigan rugby league; eating out and looking forward to her next trip Lanzarote.
Vicky holds a Level 3 NVQ in Oral Health Care: Dental Nursing, obtained in 2005.
Mukesh Vasant- Finance manager
Mukesh is our finance manager here at freshdental. He is an accountant by trade which he has been doing for over 30 years. He has previously been a director for National Travel and Ribble buses, and worked for Tarmac PLC, Bolton Brady and Burtons Foods. He was a former schoolboy international cricketer (a long time ago) so he spends his spare time following the game as well as relaxing with his lovely wife Bhanu. His vast experiance contributes greatly to the effeciency and smooth running of the practice.
Hassan Mushaid
Hassan joined our practice in october 2009. he has bought into fresh dental his skills from his previous job role at dsgi business as Business advisor and has helped us with our internet marketing which has proved a success. He enjoys his work and the freedom from sitting in an office environment. He is assisting with our 2010 charity event and is now a valuable memeber of the team.
In his spare time hassan enjoys doing mma, socialising with his friends and family and using his entrepreneurial skills.
Hassan holds a Level 3 NVQ in Dental Nursing & a Level 3 VRQ in Dental Nursing, obtained in 2010
Rachel Boobier - Dental Nurse
Rachel is another one of our Nurse's here at Freshdental. She recently qualified and gained an NVQ level 3 in Oral Health Care and Dental Nursing.
Rachel primarily works along side Dr Cusack but is happy and able to assist anyone of our Dentist's when required.
When Rachel is not working hard in surgery, she enjoys reading, cooking and collecting antiques. She also used to be the lead singer in a local rock band........no autographs please!!

Emily Colbridge - Dental Nurse
Emily has also joined the Fresh Dental team in 2011 and brings with her determination and enthusiasm to become the best dental nurse she can be.
She is learning all the aspects of dental nursing from our experienced dental nurse's and is making exceptional progress.
Emily has a huge collection of crisps shaped as famous celebrities and would like to get the opportunity to spend a day as the President of the United States of America.
Mariam Atcha - Dental Nurse

Mariam has been part of the team since we opened in 2008, since then she has progressed from being a trainee to a qualified dental nurse. She enjoys her work as no day is ever the same. She has a great working relationship with the dentists, nurses and receptionists alike.
Mariam is a talkative and friendly team member who can regularly be found amusing other staff members with her stories. She speaks both Urdu and Gujerati and in her spare time she enjoys going out with her friends, travelling and learning about different cultures.
Mariam holds a National Certificate from the NEBDN, obtained in 2009.
Farrah - Dental Nurse
Farrah has joined Fresh Dental in 2011 as soon as she left school. Farrah has always been interested in having a career in the field of dentistry and found this to be a perfect opportunity for her.
Farrah is a friendly member of the team and is learning all aspects of dental nursing from our experienced dental nurse's.
In her spare time Farrah enjoys socialising with friends, going shopping and is a HUGE fan of Lady Gaga.
Stacey Day - Dental Nurse
Stacey is a trainee dental nurse with us. She was formaly a patient of the practice and decided she wanted to join the team. She is the sister of our nurse Natalie. In her spare time she enjoys whistling and dressing up in fancy dress.
Rashila Patel - Dental Nurse

Rashila joined the Fresh Dental team in 2011 and is the most vibrant and energetic staff member we have!
She has brought with her from her previous 9 years of Dental Nursing experience exceptional customer service skills which put a smile on every patient she greets.
Rashila enjoys dancing and has performed a Steps - Tragedy dance routine for the staff as a Christmas Gift.
Rashila is a happy mother of 2 lovely children and lives locally with her husband.
Rashila has a verified competency in Dental Nursing.
Andrea Dawson - Receptionist
Andrea is one of the receptionists at here at Freshdental; she started with us in April 2010.
Andrea is the first port of call patients on reception and is a great representative of Freshdental as she is friendly, welcoming and happy to help; she really enjoys her role here as she enjoys meeting lots of different people from all walks of life. Andrea also loves the variation her job role at Freshdental brings.
Andrea is a local girl lives in Daisy Hill with her partner of 6 years and their two cats, Arthur and Jasper. She is animal mad and loves shopping!!!!!
Holly Lee-Hatzer - Receptionist
Holly is the newest member of our team; she joined us as a receptionist in early November.
This is Holly's first job after leaving college but her studies are not quite over as she will soon be starting her apprenticeship is customer services.
Outside work Holly enjoys going to the gym and eating out with her friends, she also loves shopping and singing.
