Dr. Monik Vasant (BChD)-Principal Dentist And Senior Partner
Dr. Vasant is our principal dentist and senior partner. He was born and raised in Bolton and attended Bolton School, where he regularly goes back to give talks to current students about dentistry. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 2003. Since then he has completed a 2 year long postgraduate course in advanced restorative dentistry from the prestigious St Anne’s Dental Clinic, where he also undertook training for dental implants with the renowned dentist Paul Tipton.
Dr. Vasant’s vision was to open a modern, state of the art dental practice where he could offer a full range of treatments in a relaxing and tranquil environment. He was able to achieve this with Freshdental where he offers a variety of treatments with the highest level of patient care.
He has a keen interest in cosmetic and advanced dentistry and he is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Vasant recognises the importance of overall facial aesthetics and has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign (invisible braces), botox and teeth whitening. He is currently one of two dentists in the North West qualified to assess and fit the OSO athletic enhancer which is proven to improve athletic performance.
Dr. Vasant is a keen advocate for dental care and has appeared on various television programmes such as GMTV, the BBC One Show, ITN News as well as BBC radio GMR.

Dr Paul Tipton
Ash Rayarel - Dentist and Partner
Ash Rayarel one of the two partners of Freshdental. He has had his own practice for over fifteen years and uses this experience to maintain the smooth running of Freshdental.
Ash graduated from Manchester University in 1989 and gained the Royal College of Surgeon’s Diploma (MFGDP UK) in 1998. He has been an approved trainer for new graduates since 1996. He also teaches students at Manchester Dental Hospital.
His hobbies include football and cricket (wicket keeper for a local team).
Dr. James Critchley (BDS)-Associate Dentist
Dr. Critchley qualified from the University of Manchester in 2003 and is one of our associate dentists. He has worked in the Manchester area since qualifying. Dr. Critchley was keen to be a part of Freshdental from its inception,

Dr. Critchley thoroughly enjoys his job and is always looking to advance his skills in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is currently undertaking a year long course in restorative dentistry with Paul Tipton. His dedication and enthusiasm towards dentistry alongside his caring nature makes him a valued member of the team.
James has a lot of interests outside of work notably live music, snowboarding and travelling.
Dr. Sarah Cusack-Associate Dentist
Dr. Cusack is a recent addition to the Freshdental Team. She graduated from the University College Cork, Ireland in 2004 to be certified an Honorary Degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
Sarah completed her membership examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007 (MFDS RCS). She is involved in teaching undergraduate dental students in Oral Surgery at the Manchester Dental Hospital.
Dr. Cusack has received training in oral surgery, sedation, paediatric and restorative dentistry with a desire to continually improve and develop her skills in cosmetic, surgical and restorative dentistry.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with friends and family, watch football and enjoys travelling.
Annette Gregory-Practice Manager
Annette has been employed in the dental profession for over 20years, originally in a dental laboratory/dental supply company, then as a receptionist in an orthodontic practice and has recently become Practice Manager at Freshdental. She is hard working and very committed to her role at the practice. Her friendly nature makes her easily approachable and she’s always willing to lend a helping hand. Despite being a recent addition to our team we often wonder how we coped before Annette joined us.
In her spare time Annette loves watching motorcycle racing, listening to rock music and keeps fit with regular trips to the gym.
Jade Newton-Senior Nurse
Jade is our Senior Nurse here at Freshdental. She joined the practice in July 2008 and enjoys working with our dedicated team. Jade has many responsibilities in the practice however her main duty is to assist our Principal Dentist, Dr. Vasant. She has been a dental nurse for 4 years and continually looking to advance her skills. She is currently planning to complete her post graduate qualifications in radiography and oral health. She is a valued member of staff and hopes to have a long future at Freshdental.
In her spare time you will often find Jade thoroughly engrossed in a Harry Potter movie/book, out with her friends or planning her next holiday.
Natalie Day-Dental Nurses
Natalie has worked at Freshdental since it opened in April 2008. She originally started off at the practice as our receptionist but her caring nature, initiative and interest in dentistry led us to start her training as a dental nurse. She is hard working and loves being part of the team. Being a mother of two, she is extremely good with our younger patients. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping and eating out. She keeps fit with regular trips to the gym and enjoys travelling.
Rachel Boobier-Dental Nurses
Rachel is 38 years of age and another one of our nurses here at Freshdental. Her job is to assist the dentist and make sure patients feel comfortable and at ease. She is currently studying for her NVQ in dental nursing. When Rachel is not reassuring patients and studying, she enjoys reading, cooking, collecting antiques and investigating the darker side of Bolton’s history. She is a member of though North West Spirit Seekers Society and used to be the lead singer in a local rock band…………..no autographs please!
Mariam Atcha-Dental Nurses
Mariam is one of the nurses in the Freshdental team. Her job is not only to assist the dentist during a variety of treatments but to also make sure the patient is comfortable during their visit. She enjoys her job as it gives her the opportunity to assist in some interesting treatment such as Tooth Whitening and she is able to meet friendly members of the general public. Mariam is a talkative and friendly team member who can regularly be found amusing other staff members with her stories. She speaks both urdu and gujerati an in her spare time she enjoys going out with her friends, travelling and learning about different cultures.
Louise Nightingale-Receptionists
Louise is the newest member of the Freshdental team, working two days a week as a receptionist. This is her first job in 18 years after bringing up four children. Before that she was a Registered General Nurse working on a Cardiac Rehab Ward.
Louise has been pleasantly surprised with how much she’s enjoyed working in at team and meeting and helping the general public again. She still finds time to go horse riding regularly with her friends and goes out at the weekend after she’s sorted out her children.
Mukesh Vasant- Finance manager
Mukesh is our finance manager here at freshdental. He is an accountant by trade which he has been doing for over 30 years. He has previously been a director for National Travel and Ribble buses, and worked for Tarmac PLC, Bolton Brady and Burtons Foods. He was a former schoolboy international cricketer (a long time ago) so he spends his spare time following the game as well as relaxing with his lovely wife Bhanu. His vast experiance contributes greatly to the effeciency and smooth running of the practice.
