We’ll strengthen your teeth and complete your smile with quality crowns and bridges at Freshdental.
If you have a tooth that is chipped or cracked, or if you have one or more missing teeth, dental crowns and bridges can be used to restore and boost your smile.
For a damaged or discolored tooth, a crown can replace its outer layer to either reinforce its structure or enhance its appearance. However, if the primary concern is aesthetics rather than structural integrity, dental veneers might be a more suitable option, offering a minimally invasive way to improve your smile.
Bridges are designed to span the empty space created by a missing tooth or teeth. They consist of two dental crowns anchoring a false tooth in between to effectively complete your smile.
At Freshdental we use crowns made from materials including porcelain, Zirconia and ceramic which give the most natural appearance, comfort and durability.
Often used to safeguard a tooth following root canal treatment
Highly effective in strengthening teeth that have been compromised due to enamel loss or large cavities
Replacing a missing tooth with a bridge can help you chew better
Prevents your other teeth from shifting out of place
Suitable if you have healthy teeth either side of the gap to support the new bridge
Always so nice and so professional
I'm not new to Freshdental and knew exactly who to turn to when a crown came off a molar. We all know that going to the dentist is not at the top of our wish list, but they are always so nice and so professional that the experience is not traumatic. I had a bridge put in and thanks to all concerned for their help and expertise.

Natural-looking results
Following your initial consultation at Freshdental, your treatment for a dental crown or bridge will usually take place over two appointments, or in as little as one visit for CEREC crowns. Your dentist will talk you through what is involved in the procedure and answer any questions you have.
Free virtual consultation
Discuss your dental needs and smile goals with one of our dentists, ask any questions you may have and book a convenient time to come into our London practice to see us in person.
In-person consultation
Your dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, including X-rays, images and a 3D iTero scan. They will use the findings of their assessment to decide if a crown or bridge is a suitable treatment option for you. We’ll put together a treatment plan, including costs, and discuss this with you.
The first treatment appointment will last approximately one and a half hours. Your tooth will be prepared, with any damage or decay removed to create a smooth surface for the crown or bridge to be fitted. An impression of the tooth will be taken, used to custom-make the restoration. CEREC crowns are usually ready in around 40 minutes - patients are welcome to wait in our comfortable practice or pop out and return later the same day.
Second treatment appointment
Once ready, you will return to our London practice to have your crown or bridge fitted. Your dentist will ensure you are happy with the results and the treatment process is complete.

With proper care and maintenance, dental bridges can last for over 10 years. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene practices are crucial, which include regular brushing and flossing. It's also advisable to consider wearing a mouthguard if you grind your teeth.
Common materials for dental crowns include porcelain, ceramic, metal alloys, and a combination of these materials, chosen based on aesthetics, strength, and function. At Freshdental, we fit crowns made from porcelain, Zirconia, and ceramic.
Yes, once the crown or bridge is securely fitted, you can resume a normal, healthy diet. However, we recommend avoiding overly hard or sticky foods to ensure the longevity of your dental work.
The procedure is typically performed under local anaesthesia, so you shouldn't feel any discomfort during the treatment. Some discomfort or sensitivity might occur once the anaesthesia wears off, but this can usually be managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
