This lovely lady wanted to improve her smile. She had what is known as an “open bite” where the anterior teeth don’t touch. This is a common consequence of what happens when children use a dummy or suck their thumbs. As an adult, it is very difficult to fix. This patient wasn’t after perfection but she just wanted it to be less noticeable. We first improved the positions of the teeth using Invisalign® and then whitened the teeth. We then carried out composite bonding veneers to nine teeth to transform the smile and further close the open bite and we replaced an old crown.
